The Sriperumbudur plant by Foxconn is gearing up to dispatch new iPhones shortly after their commencement of production in Chinese facilities. Apple has already shifted about 7% of iPhone manufacturing to India as of March, aligning with its strategy to decrease reliance on China, as indicated by sources familiar with the situation. The report also suggests that Apple’s other Indian partners, including Pegatron and Wistron, are poised to commence assembly of the iPhone 15 series in the near future. Apple, Foxconn, Pegatron, and Wistron have refrained from commenting on this matter. [Bloomberg]
