In the first quarter, Taiwanese PC maker Lenovo secured the top spot in terms of global PC shipments with a 24% market share, reaching 13.7 million units, up by 8% year-on-year. The other four leading brands were HP (21% market share), Dell (16%), Apple (14%), and Acer (11%). Counterpoint predicts that 2024 will mark the advent of AI PCs (including desktops and laptops), with 45% of new laptop shipments this year predicted to feature AI functionality.
