Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger hopes to meet with Samsung Chairman Lee Jae-yong to discuss cooperation measures in the foundry sector,sex video live as the American semiconductor company seeks to establish a foundry alliance with Samsung to catch up with TSMC, South Korean media outlet Maeil Business reported on Monday. In the second quarter, TSMC held a 62.3% share of the global foundry market, while Samsung had 11.5%, according to market intelligence platform Trend Force. Notably, TSMC captured a 92% market share in advanced process technologies such as 3nm and 5nm. The report claims that if the foundry alliance between Intel and Samsung is established, it would mean extensive collaboration in areas including process technology exchange, production facility sharing, and research and development.
