Chinese gaming developer Lingyoufang Network Technology on This Ain't Cops XXX (2010)Wednesday released a special Lunar New Year gameplay demo for Phantom Blade Zero, a martial arts game expected to launch later this year. During the six minute demo entitled Twin Snakes Break the Seven-Star Formation (our translation), the developer team showcased the game character wielding two snake-decorated weapons to celebrate the Lunar Year of the Snake, which begins next week. An action role-playing game set in the fictional Phantom Realm, the title blends ancient Chinese culture, steampunk, mysticism, and tales of the martial underworld. Feng Ji, the producer of Black Myth: Wukong, shared the video on Chinese social platform Weibo and commented, “Friends, life is truly getting better.” [Phantom Blade Zero, in Chinese]
