Doctor Whostar Matt Smith is Germany Archivesreturning to the cosmos! Varietyreports that the actor, most recently known for his role as Prince Philip in The Crown, has been cast in an undisclosed but "key" role in Star WarsEpisode IX.

Smith may also be a Resistance member, perhaps channeling The Doctor's rebellious spirit.
Or, you know, he's not on either side and will just be a cool space guy who's doing his own thing. That would be nice too.
